    CR39 LENSES  CR39, or allyl diglycol carbonate (ADC), is a plastic polymer that offers 100% UV protection and has the highest abrasion/scratch resistance of any uncoated optical plastic. CR39 is about half the weight of glass with an index refraction only slightly lower than that of crown glass, and its high Abbe number yields low chromatic aberration, altogether making it one of the best materials for sunglass lenses. CR39 lenses are resistant to aging, to most solvents and other chemicals, to material fatigue and even to gamma radiation.

    PC LENS Due to its strength under pressure and high shatter-resistance, Polycarbonate (PC) is a great lens option for sunglasses with single piece lenses (SV65 EL GATOR and SV42 KOZOI). Polycarbonate’s strength is so renowned that it is widely used in both sports and the automotive industry. Due to its low scractch-resistance, a hard coating is applied to all of SABRE’s polycarbonate lenses after they have been shaped and polished. Polycarbonate is the lightest material used for lenses and offers 100% UV protection.

    100% UV PROTECTION High intensities of Ultraviolet light are hazardous to the eyes, and frequent exposure can lead to cataracts, pterygium and pinguecula formation. Throw on your favorite SABRE sunglasses and fight the sun, the fashion police and the man because our entire collection offers industry standard 100% UV Protection.

    FRENCH COMOTEC HINGES French Comotec Hinges are the highest quality metal hinges made specifically for sunglasses. All components have been developed to withstand the harsh beatings you’re going to give them.

    REDTENBACHER SPRING HINGES Redtenbacher Spring Hinges are super light, thin and durable hinges that offer frame/temple flexibility, this translates to a comfortable fit for almost anybody, even those with pumpkin sized heads. They are spring loaded hinges that have been designed to retract back to their original position even after repetitive use.

    HANDMADE ACETATE FRAMES Handmade Acetate Frames are made from a cellulose acetate material. The frames are constructed by hand ensuring attention to detail and the best possible finish. All of SABRE’s High Times, LTD, Fast Times and Optical collections are produced in this way.

    TR90 INJECTION FRAMES TR90 is a thermoplastic polyamides material used specifically for injected sunglasses. The frames are made by feeding the TR90 material into a heated barrel, it is then mixed and forced into a mold where it cools and hardens to the shape of the mold cavity. This style of production is used across SABRE’s Real Times collection.

    Sabre Warranty

    Manufacturers warranties come with all items we sell. The details of the warranty period are usually detailed on the swing tag or the instructions booklet.

    Sabre Sunglasses are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months from date of purchase. Your Sabre warranty is only valid with a proof of purchase from an authorised dealer. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratched or broken lenses, lost screws, fading or peeling of frames, or nose piece and frame deterioration. Any alterations to the sunglasses will void your warranty. The manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace, in part or in full, sunglasses returned for warranty or repair. Warranty claims and other repairs are at the complete discretion of the manufacturer.

    How to make a warranty claim or have your sunglasses repaired:

    Option 1: Take them to your nearest stockist; and they will be able to assist you in sending them back;
    Option 2: Return the item to the manufacturer yourself;
    Option 3: Post back to us with our Repair and Warranty claim form. We will forward them to the manufacturer on your behalf (postage charges apply). Please complete the form and attach to your return. Package your sunglasses (inside their protective case) in a sturdy box with padding.
