Tom Ford’s eyewear is of particular note, as unlike many other designers, it was his eyewear that really established the brand. Tom Ford is one of the most influential names in the world of fashion. After 10 years of working as the creative director of Gucci and Gucci Group, in 2005, Ford announced the creation of the TOM FORD brand, a luxury line for men's wear. In the same year, he announced his partnership with famous Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin Group to produce and distribute optical frames and sunglasses, as well as an alliance with Esteé Lauder to create a beauty brand, for signature fragrance and cosmetic collection.
